Dollramas II (Miniature scenes)

A year of Dollramas...

Pre-2013
II

(For Dollramas I,  see here)

Some of these small scale scenes (before showing the bigger scale I announced in the last post) were created for small doll photo competitions, other were part of longer stories... and some were just for the sake of it... A series even became a printed card game !...
First my early stages as a scene setter (not that I am that pro at it now mind you...)

Dollramas I (Miniature scenes)

A year of Dollramas...
2009-2011
I

(Pour la version française, voir ici)

I know that the usual term is Diorama, but it is for all sorts of miniature scenes of all scales...
And, even if J'adôre Dior, I feel better saying Dollrama when dolls are involved...

I don't know if scenes inside a dollhouse count as Dollramas but I'll start by the first vintage furnished  "rooms" for dolls I ever set as an adult since 2009.

Made in Hong-Kong, but designed where ? Part I

Part I

I have been interested in Blue-Box as a brand and a manufacturer for years now... Ever since I identified two of my childhood toys as being of that make (Made in Singapore)... I remember buying two sets myself in 1972 - I was 6 then - from a sweet and toy stall in a big park near Paris on a rainy sunday afternoon with a little money I was given for the occasion.

One, the bedroom, is still intact in the box...

Early 70s
Its near pristine state is the proof that...
