Outside the box...

Pour la version française, lire ici

Sometimes a collector is facing a real dilemma...

Not only about scarce storage space... or how to best preserve these precious and numerous 60s cardboard from humidity... but... but...

TO OPEN or NOT TO OPEN, right... ?

That really IS the question...
Lots of different opinions there... Let's look at three possible ones :

1- There are those who would NEVER dare...
2- Those who get angry if someone does...
3- And those who can't resist the temptation for once...

Let's look more closely at this third type...
(If you belong to the first and/or the second types, these small prints are for you : Please do not read on... Or rather read on at your own risk... And be ready for a strange and maybe cringing experience...).

For some, life is about daring...  Just for once (?), let's think with them Outside the Box...

Here is the recipe :

Take one box...

AND take one doll...

Not this one, Silly...
But one already de-boxed and ready to be dressed...
then...
I know, I know... Please, sensitive Reader, don't loose you cool...
There was more than 30 boxes in that lot and only one was tempered with, we promise..

For the happy opener, it's like christmas again, isn't it ?
(Except that this time you don't throw the box away...)

So is it as bad as opening a Pandora box?... Or could it become addictive ? i.e. once you have started there is nothing to stop you...

Be reassured... If once is nothing... Once is sometimes also always enough...

Come on, tell us, have you ever done it ? (Opening a collector box only for yourself... ?

Go on, admit it ! It's so tempting isn't it ?
Just kidding...!

  1. I would say "Well done!" ;-) It must be a great satisfaction!
But I'm afraid that .... I would be too afraid to open NRFB items... so I purchase only used barbie clothes.

    1. Hello Sara, I do exactly as you do and prefer to buy unboxed items for my dolls... But my friend Stylb had the guts to open (3!) of them... Woah !
