Pink was a seller and a best seller everywhere, even where you expected it the less...

Design is not afraid of any color... and certainly not of pink which like all pastels, brighten up and cheer the house up, help by its softness to refine the fashionable lines and give a choc touch to the cheapest material like this vinyl armchair. At the time, far from being vulgar, pink is the symbol of novelty, refinement and good taste. In the bedroom, pink is associated to noble matters like oak, walnut and even mahogany wood... for a very chic effect. This radio is not for little girls but for their mums, it is available in ivory or in pink for the ones who want to add a feminine touch to their bedroom... or their living-room. Pink, and its pastel counterparts, enters our interiors... and our lives, giving it a happier and younger tint, expressing a desire for renewal, freedom and freshness and a new optimism after the grey years of WWII.

Fashion isn't either...

Marylin loved Pink or the Holywood producers / directors loved Marylin in pink... there are hundreds of photos that show it... So let's see some less (and more) recents stars and models in our topic color...

Brigitte first ever cover for Elle...
Brigitte in a later cover (This is not her wedding dress ! She did get married in a pink gingham dress, but not in this one... See our article on Pink Gingham here)

I am actually not only showing you real furniture and real fashion because I like them, but also because next time I will show you how the toy industry embraced Pink(s) (and probably much earlier than the 50s/60s...)

In the meantime, why don't you choose your favorite pink... Pick you Pink !
